Caitlyn's Place

In 2008 my family and I moved from our 2 acres to a neighborhood. I know, I know...what were we thinking? Well, we were thinking FREEDOM! Keeping our place up required LOTS of time and energy we just didn't have in abundance with our family and my husband's busy job. We have really enjoyed our new home and I am very lucky to be able to keep dabbling in birds through Yvette and Ron. All of the birds that I had were dispersed between their two places. I still keep the website up and field emails which I shoot to Yvette or Ron depending upon what birds are being asked about. I help wash for shows when I can and still help with egg shipping. One day, I may have some birds of my own again, but for now I feel lucky to be able to stay connected in other ways.

We have had lots of people comment on how our pics of my old silkie barn helped them build or retrofit theirs, so if you click here you can see the old page even though the barn is no longer used by us.

Me at the GCSPF APA show in Fresno with my black silkies...and Gatorade!

Below are some of the projects I have worked on besides the website and answering LOTS of emails as quickly as I can.  My pride and joy Herbie the Partridge Silkie rooster. Sadly we lost him Spring 2010. What a great boy he was. I very much enjoyed the Salmon Faverolles and Tolbunt Polish when I had them.
